TLDR:
I would really like to see the admin worload reduced with automatic updates. I think Kirby should automatically non-breaking updates, especially security patches.
More details:
Obviously, some updates will require testing to ensure they don’t break a site and those should not auto-install. However, having to manually install every single update is a major reason I am regularly considering using a different CMS for client projects. With every additional project, the admin-workload increases, and I think some updates should install themselves without asking.
Some Suggestions:

that would be a great option.
as i am also facing small projects.
i would do not care so much about.
sometimes unpaid customers ( =friends ) or voluntary projects.
but of course it would be great if these projects would get updates without doing something.
but i assume there would be git conflicts with the composer.lock file.
for me, a huge benefit of kirby CMS is working with the composer package manager per default.
there is a way to achieve that with cron and automate that. didnt found so much knowledge and guidance about in web yet…
