Button in Panel to prevent Editors making changes while site is being tweaked

A button in the Panel, for Admin users, to temporarily stop Editors from making changes, while site is being tweaked / changes to the background code.

For example, this would be useful when making changes to Blueprints, and you don’t want the client using the Panel at the same time.

This might be a stretch, but ideally, if the client / editor logged in, a message would display letting them know that they can temporarily not make any changes.

Sounds like maintenance mode. I know those situations. I usually notify my clients via mail when there are situations where their content might get lost. This in-panel editor alert might be handy. I would see the option to turn it on in the config though, not in the panel.

Yeah, I have to notify clients by email, which doesn’t feel very satisfactory. Has the email be delivered, have they read it, or are they going to logged in to the Panel and loose a ton of work?
